Friendly staff and great breakfast, plenty of choice.Parking good.Beds and pillows good.Pool, jacuzzi great.Had lovely swim and jacuzzi daily.Grounds well kept.It was clean and tidy. These are the good points.Plenty of tea/coffee/chocolate and biscuits. We ran low on a couple of days and reception were happy to give us more.Room standard twin was spacious.Bathroom ok except had a job to move around in shower.Room decor tired.Painted artex.Although I would say typical of seaside guesthouse/hotel.Tv a job to get working.until our last day would not work at all.The ceiling had a loose part, not hanging but needed repair.
Went to bar one evening, some older guy on a keyboard.Would have been better with background music.Never returned to bar.All the above is why I have given 3 stars and not 4.

The wight Hotel should be renamed faulty towers
Set in a 70s theme would be how I viewed this
Rooms that date back to the 70 s bathrooms so small u can't turn in the shower fans that whistle and screech flush the toilet and get water knock
Tvs that don't work and WiFi so slow feels like your on dial up

A hotel manager that is rude and condescending,
Plug sockets miles away from the area s u need them

Entertainment is a disc jockey that is clueless and a key board pianist that is tone deaf
A barman that is stone deaf and looks like a funeral under taker

Honestly you couldn't write it there's so much wrong with this hotel!!

This is more like an oap home than it is a hotel
Even the residence that are there look like they escaped the morgue
The hotel is situated in a derelict town where life has long gone
The staff are wonderful I cant knock that and the swimming pool is good

Don't come here it will haunt u forever !!

Located In Sandown the hotel is clean and tidy but a little old fashioned . Staff are excellent as are the breakfasts . No lunch or evening meals available . The bar is reasonably priced but doesn’t accept credit cards . In some ways the hotel,is let down by sandown itself . It’s tired and has many closed and derelict hotels so not much going on in the town albeit have great beach. Only downside I would say is the rooms could do with proper showers not showers operated via bath taps .
As I say staff are great and you won’t get a better breakfast

My daughter and I booked a twin room for one night. The parking was ample as long as every one used their head which was great. The walk to the beach was about 5 mins . The people running The Wight were very welcoming and friendly and we felt at home right away.

The place itself was really clean and tidy and smelt lovely everywhere, the breakfast area was nice and had your own assigned table and table service. Breakfast had lots of choices. Lots of veggie items. Friendly staff. There is a bar downstairs and a little park and games room for kids.

Our room we had the small twin and it was just fine for us two small ladies lol. Hairdryer, kettle, the usual things. Big bright window.

The thing we enjoyed most was the swimming pool, steam room and hot tub. We made good use of the facilities and felt like this hotel was pretty reasonable for the cost. The location alone usually means a premium. We really enjoyed our stay and wish it had been 2 nights or longer. Will definitely be coming back for longer.

We discovered the Wght by chance and how lucky was that? it is a SMASHING hotel, the stafff members are so friendly and welcoming and the facilities are GREAT, a pool and a sauna and a bar for the evening aperitif! plus we had a delightful room looking out onto the courtyard.. and all within 5 minutes of the town and beach!
