This is a fantastic resturant - the food is so beautifully and imaginatively prepared (e.g. best ever scallops - exquisitely cooked; banana soufflé dessert that redefined bananas for me), the menu so interesting that you could select almost anything (we went two nights for three courses, and could easily have found two more...), and the service so welcoming. The setting on the Esplanade is also perfect, and the environment of the restaurant itself warm, light and airy. This is fine dining with panache and character. We first went three years ago; in the intervening period, Michelin listing has been given to it, and this was, on the basis of our return visits, entirely deserved - may there be a star by the time we come back again!
