“Amazing cottage”

We really enjoyed our stay here. This cottage is especially well equipped, all bedrooms are good size, the big living room is very cosy with the log fire and many sofas and armchairs for even a big group of people to feel, sit and chat comfortably. WI-FI is available everywhere in the house free of charge (included in the rent) and there is even an iPod docking station. There are 2 dining areas and the best about the cottage is the floor heating in the spacious bathroom on the ground floor. The garden is so beautiful and it has sea view (as well as one of the bedrooms). If the weather is nice the garden is a real heaven for kids for playing, it's big and the many little pavements make it feel like a fun labyrinth. The cottage is a very good starting point for lovely walks by the sea. We all had such a fantastic few days, I hope we can go again during summer once.

“Exquisite cottage, even more stunning than the photographs promise it to be.”
Reviewed 10 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

Breakers Sound is one of the most comfortable properties I have stayed in. It swallows 6 people up with ease. The rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable and fresh.
The kitchen appears to have been refurbished very recently with spotlessly clean applicances, fantastically fitted out, we needed for nothing. Ditto with the Bathrooms. Beautiful views from the bedrooms and quite the most comfortable beds. The grounds are an absolute joy to explore with little footpaths meandering around the garden leading to hidden patios - generous tables and chairs dotted around. A quick stroll down the lane beside the Botanical Gardens and you find Steephill Cove and the Surf Shack...wonderful.
I would definitely be looking to return to Breakers Sound......and yes you can hear them...

“A chocolate box cottage that I wish was mine”
Reviewed 26 June 2012 for a stay in June 2012

We stayed a Breakers Sound for a week in June with our black lab.
The cottage is amazing, so beautiful. It is absolutely idyllic. It is difficult to do it justice in describing it.
We have stayed in many cottages over the years the last 10 with Henry our lab. I have to say this is the best by far.
The cottage was so clean which is not always the case when dogs are allowed. Every room was spotless. It was well equiped a real home from home.
The gardens are real picture book stuff, imaculate with lots of nooks and crannies, ponds and garden furniture. Henry loved plopping about the garden.
The cottage is a five minute drive from Ventnor where we enjoyed some brilliant food.
We will return to breakers sound and the IOW as there was so.much we didn't do and we could never find a better cottage.
