Well placed for the sea front, good outside seating and a fair bit of space. A quaint pub with thatched roof that could no doubt once have been a fisherman's cottage. Watch out for the short door frame, when the sun is shining you can't see how low it is. Other that that, this is excellent. Friendly and helpful staff serving local ales and gin with a great
Inch menu. I'd happily say the fish and chips was one of the best I've had in a pub. Highly recommended if you're close by. Child and dog friendly too, with great views over the beach.

What a find practically on the beach no wonder so popular. Fab inside but everyone sat outside as a lovely day. Had fish & chips which were very nice and a pint of symonds cider which is very refreshing. Dog friendly which as I always say is a bonus for us.

The food was excellent but the portion was huge!!! This was slightly of putting as each individual portion of risotto would have fed three!

Arrived here after walking from Ventnor and needing to get out of the sun we sat inside. Food is ordered at a counter but didn’t take as long as The Spyglass despite being busy. Crab sarnies were fresh and filling and very good value, as was the bottle of wine we had to go with them. We will visit again the next time we are in Ventnor – if we can face the walk.

The best sticky toffee cheese cake wr have ever had. A warm welcome on a very stormy day. They serve IoW ales. I would realky recommend the homemade mariner's pie.
