Did a bus trip with Caledonian travel wasn't expensive so didn't expect much. We Now know half the island shuts down from 1st November including shops stately homes etc (the island was like a ghost town ) . over all don't go in the winter all the towns are closed down and the attractions . anyway the hotel looked nice right on the beach front . we asked for a sea view if available through Caledonian and got one (bonus we though until we were charged £40 extra for it ) the room 233 was defiantly not worth the up grade , great view but room was run down I will put pics on to show the room . first the room was very cold as Radiator didn't work or was look warm , the bed was silly the mattress was to big for the bed so kept slipping of when sitting on the edge . the bathroom was well past sell by date tiny shower (shower dribbles out water when you use it so don't expect a quick wash ) with material curtain , cracked basin , no where to put any thing not even a shelf in the shower . the room was clean but defo needs a good makeover only light that worked out of 4 was the main one the light above the bed were crumbling and had no bulbs or on off switches .
