Just returned from shanklin beach hotel.after reading some reviews was bit apprehensive.we had a lovely time.i can't understand some people it's as if they expecting 5 star hotel for 3 star price.yes hotel is a bit tired in places but you can see they are refurbing it and can see where they have.our room hadn't been done but was lovely big room and was clean .beds good.it was cleaned daily.the food wasn't top of range but wasn't expecting it.but it was good and always hot.and a good choice.and I would have no qualms about returning.for what we paid I would say it was well worth it

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and had a wonderful time. We upgraded to a room with a sea view and balcony which was spacious and very clean. Some of the furniture was a bit worn but perfectly serviceable. We spent time sitting on the balcony as weather was good and it was very relaxing. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and couldn’t be faulted. The food was generally good especially the breakfasts, the first night we had country pie and that wasn’t so good but the other nights the food was very good. We will definitely go back as it is very good value for money, we didn’t pay a lot and it was much better than expected after reading other reviews. We visited Shanklin Chine which was just up the road and it was beautiful, definitely worth visiting.
