After getting engaged in th grounds of this hotel, it felt only fitting to celebrate our wedding here too. After 2yrs of planning, our weekend was the most amazing of our lives, shared by our families and friends who travelled a long distance to share with us. The wedding package they offer has so much included it leaves you with very little to consider, compared to other venues. With the support of the events team at the hotel who are there to answer all your questions leading up to the big day and on the day itself, it really was stress free. Nothing went wrong, food was amazing, views were superb and all the staff were so helpful. If your looking for wedding venues or places to stay, this is a must!

Dear Andrew

Thank you very much for your kind words and lovely feedback! It was absolute pleasure to be able to organize your wedding and look after you and your guests. I have passed your nice feedback to all our staff and I hope that we can welcome you back in the future, perhaps on your first anniversary?

Best regards

Always wanted to come here so stopped for a drink when staying in Bowness. Quite pricey but as expected for a luxurious hotel with an amazing view of the lake. Service was really good and staff were happy to help move chairs and tables to cater.

Arriving on a Saturday afternoon for our nephew's wedding, we were greeted and quickly sorted for our room. There was a lift just around the corner from our room which made it very useful. Our room was spotless and equipped with hair dryer, ironing board and iron, tea, coffee, etc, biscuits, spare pillows. The bed was very comfortable. The meals were excellent, with plenty of choices available. The wedding took place in the hotel in a beautifully decorated room, and the reception held there later. It could not have been improved upon. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone's wedding, and for any other guests.

We got married at the Belsfield on the bank holiday weekend in August. As a wedding Venue you really couldn’t ask for anything more, top quality food, service and venue. The service provided was truly 5 star. The wedding package we chose was the completely perfect which gave us everything we needed and more. Our ceremony was in the Adam Lounge which is beautiful and the view from the main restaurant for our meal must be one of the best in the lakes. The evening reception was in the Windermere suite which allows you to feel like you have your own part of the hotel without taking over.
Heather the events manager is amazing and catered for our every need.

We had 20 rooms for our wedding guests who all couldn’t speak highly enough of the rooms. The buffet breakfast had great choice and good quality produce. The rooms are to a high standard and the hotel throughout is beautifully decorated.

Would highly recommend for a breakaway or wedding. We cannot wait to return.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to attend our friends wedding (they got married in the church around the corner) reception and evening party. The venue is beautiful and the backdrop of Lake Windermere is stunning. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our room was available meaning we could check in early which was lovely. The food that was served at breakfast, during the reception and evening was all lovely (although one sausage cut in half in a bun is really a bit mean and lots of guests commented on this!!).

Now for the review about the room - let me start by saying it was a nice room but there is definitely improvements that can be made. It was smaller than expected with the bathroom very compact, to the point it becomes slightly claustrophobic, especially when using the shower but then the space has been maximised as much as it could be. The bed was comfortable but creaked quite a lot. The choice of coffee/tea etc was great and you got a jar of sweets on your first night which is a nice little touch. The view from our room was the car park at the front of the building and the window had a piece of wood wedged in it that needed to be used to keep it open - Not what we expected at all, especially when your paying nearly £200 a night! It was particularly noisy on an evening due to the positioning of the 'smoking area' which is directly below, it may be okay on a normal evening but there was a wedding on the Friday before our friends on the Saturday so there were lots of guests outside unaware if how noisy they were being.

Overall a lovely wedding venue and nice rooms with lovely Laura Ashley wallpaper in each of them however there's room for a few tweaks to improve. I would visit again but it wouldn't be my first choice of venue.
