“Awesome short break at Weymouth”
Reviewed 9 May 2011

We visited Weymouth, Dorset for a short break during the Royal Wedding 4 day weekend. The small town and its promenade is fantastic. It has sandy sections on the beach and they also had a kite festival. My 10 yr old loved the kite flying event on the beach. The backdrop to the beach is white cliffs around.
Close to Weymouth is Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door - most spectacular places on the south coast. The walks/treks in this area are just fabulous.
To add to this, we stayed at such a lovely cottage in Croyates (about 5 miles from Weymouth town centre). The Cottage had a huge garden and the owner of the cottage left us a lemon cake on the table which was the best lemon cake I have had so far.
The Cottage is called Barton Cottage and I booked it via Dorset Coastal Cottages website.

If you want to pay £2 per hour to park its here. Then when you want to leave, please sit in this traffic jam on the new “relief” road for 55minutes

“Weymouth Bay Holiday Park”
Reviewed 6 October 2010

Mr & Mrs Galer
My wife and myself have just returned 1st October from Weymouth Bay Holiday Park where we had a real good time,
which we new we would as this is our third year running going there.
We have been to several Caravan holiday parks but we found this is the best it takes some beating.
The park is very clean, the staff and service are excellent, the restaurant does very good food and we also like it as it so peaceful.
The other advantage is that you do not have to travel very far for a Supermarket or to Weymouth Town Centre which has a very large shopping area.
Every year we pay for upgrades on our caravans and we have never be disappointed, all goes well we will be there again next year.

“Haven Seaview Camp Site”
Reviewed 3 October 2010

The camp site is clean, quiet and peaceful, and looks good with the flower beds dotted around. The club house gives value for money on its meals and has quite a selection. The staff are courteous and helpful if you need it. The sea view from our van window was good to look at.
