In October 2010 my wife and i booked a holiday at the Chatsworth for July 2011. It wasn't until February 2011 that i was introduced to Trip Advisor and i was appaled by the comments some previous visitors had made about the Hotel.
Trusting to luck we didn't cancel our booking but it was with some trepidation we arrived prepared to judge for ourselves and move if neccessary.
I have to say the hotel owners where helpful, friendly and curteous. The rooms were well decorated, modern in style and cleaned properly every day. We did the " four in a bed " thing looking for dirt and dust and could find no fault. the food was well cooked and tasty.The complimentary tray in the bedroom was well maintained even down to a bottle of spring water. The public facilities of the hotel, the Dining room, the Lounge bar and the Sun Terrace were well decorated and kept clean and tidy. With all rooms either overlooking Weymouth Bay or the harbour we, Nor any other guests there at the same time, could understand where the negative comments came from.
I dont know if any checks are made by Trip Adviser as to wether people actually stay at the hotels they review, sadly i suspect not in the case of the Chatsworth.
My wife and i will thoroughly recomend the Chatsworth to any one and as regular visitors to Weymouth will most certainly stay there again next year.
