Lovely to see such a clean and well cared for beach. Loved the dog beach great to see so many dogs enjoying it too.

This has got to be the best beech in Weymouth with rides and things to do for the kids, and coffee shops close by
We have visited many times and the beach is always lovely and clean. It's a gentle slope into the sea so is pretty safe. Donkey rides, punch and Judy and sand sculptures make this a proper British seaside.
Parking can be a problem but there is a long stay car park by the end of the harbour which is about 10 minutes away. We always used to use the park and ride which was great but this isn't running anymore. This seems a stupid idea as traffic in Weymouth can be awful and parking can be expensive.
If you own a dog you will struggle to find a place to exercise it off lead in Weymouth. The very end of the beach near The Pavilion will allow dogs, unfortunately the council's preferred method of cleaning the beach of litter each day is to drive a tractor over it which smashes up all the plastic and glass left behind. Ingenious...
Signage in general for dog owners is poor and the Enforcement Officers seem to make their up own rules if you dare to let your dog off lead somewhere that has no signage. They will approach you having filmed you first, caution you and take personal details from you in the street in front of all and sundry, this includes your name, date of birth and home address. Their credentials appear 'Mickey Mouse' and their approach is Gestapo like.
If you've got a dog, find somewhere else to holiday.
