One night visit to Bude, stayed at Brendon Arms. Good free car park, much-needed in a place as busy as Bude in the summer. Location overlooking the canal and beach is excellent, and it's delightful to sit outside in the evening.
First floor room was smaller than expected, and it gave onto a pleasant roof-top terrace - not used by visitors, but clearly accessible as the plants needed watering. I felt uncomfortable leaving the low casement windows open - and on a hot night, this was a shame. However they did helpfully leave a fan in the room. Big bathroom, which was very nice. Could have done with thicker curtains as there was also a light on outside all night (a neighbouring property I think). Slept well nonetheless, and wasn't disturbed by noise.
Superb big breakfast - barely needed lunch later.
Overall, enjoyed the stay.More
