Visited Sunday 30th July 2017. Walked in and the woman behind the counter looked straight through us and spoke to the people she obviously knew who came in behind us. We were completely ignored and left just standing there. Can't comment on the food as we turned round and left. We're new to the area and won't be going back!

Thank Aldo P

My husband and I visited with our three year old son, very busy but wee got a table and ordered roasted red pepper soup for all, and sandwiches for the boys. They gave us a child portion at reduced cost without us asking, very kind. The soup was tremendous, I tried to make it myself when we got home! The staff complimented our wee boy on his behaviour which made us really happy. Lots of fair trade products for sale. Saw lots of other meals being served which all looked delicious. This was a very lucky find on a day out and we will definitely go back! Excellent food, customer service and atmosphere.

From your first step inside you will be aware that you are in for something very different from anything you have ever experienced as you enter the tiny doorway of Deli Ecosse. The interior has high ceilings and dimensions that would do a village hall credit. Your eyes alight on a delightful array of collectible kitchen memorabilia and a board over the counter directs you to order at the counter then sit down to be served at table. Your eyes will flick around..... yes, it is a café but all around there are delicatessen delights for you to admire/purchase. You will be tempted by an excellent range of cakes (I'm told the apple and sultana is to die for, but I'm diabetic so can't indulge) and the list of light bites, snacks and more substantial fare seems endless. "So, what can we get you.....?" For a moment you will be so impressed you will have quite forgotten what you went in for. Cakes and coffees ordered, you sit down and marvel at all that is good around you and note the very busy bird-feeder on the outside of the back window. The excellent coffee matches the cakes for quality and the staff ensure you have everything you need and they take a friendly, real interest in what sort of a day you have had. A friendlier place would be hard to find with the most relaxed atmosphere you could wish for. The only regret is that at some time, sadly, you just have to get up and leave......... but there's always the next time to look forward to!

We were visiting the area on our way to John o Groats and wow what a gem we found, I can really recommend this place the staff are friendly and food amazing. I had "the wee breakfast" and was sufficient for me it includes a hot drink so even better! The cakes looked gorgeous but a tad to early to be having one!
