Went in here about 5.45 p.m on the Tuesday buffet night. Had to hang around at the front bar with the waiter as he didn't seem too keen to take a single diner but then the boss said OK you can have the table till 6.30 p.m.
Place was virtually empty. So not a great welcome but there you go.
On Tuesdays its an eat all you want fixed price buffet at £10.95. Serve yourself from the large silver lift up top hot buffet trays.
Waiters were setting up the server dishes and were ready for the off at 6.00 p.m.
Good selection of onion bahjis and lamb pieces and then on to the main courses. About six main meal items to choose from all around the chicken or lamb areas.
No fancy seafood/duck etc courses to choose from presumably to keep the cost down.
Note though that nearly all the main dishes were meat based, I only saw one serving dish which had a vegetarian curry in it so not a great choice for vegetarians.
Very tasty bombay potatoes in one serving dish.
You have to keep your knife and fork throughout and use the same plate so as a criticism I would say that your plate can be a bit mucky after a few trips to the servers.
Again done to keep the washing up down I would guess.
Cobra beer £3.95 a pint. Not cheap but not too bad compared with others.
Very cheap Wetherspoons just up the road though if you want a pre/post meal drink.
Pleasant modern interior building which was light and looked clean.
All in all good value but like all you can eat buffet meals you have to be hungry to get value for money so skip lunch !
However I would have to say that the welcome wasn't particularly warm in this place both when I went in and during the meal although of course I was serving myself.
I have said similar about this groups Teignmouth location in the past when you receive table service there.
