Review of Place Mill

There’s a sign outside which states that the original mill was recorded in the Doomsday book and as I’m interested in local history, we has a closer look.

It appears that the mill also hosts art exhibitions, but we were more interested in seeing the mill during our visit to The Place Mill.

The historical infromation is easy to read and written in an accessible format.

It is worth noting that it is not wheelchair friendly, but if you can manage steps then it is well worth the visit.

There’s enough to interest a visitor for a good half an hour or so, and the lcoation is great for spending the rest of the afternoon on the many other activities in the Quausiode area.

If you have never visited a mill before this is a great place to start. The mill sits aside Christchurch Quay and gives excellent access to the Priory and the local town plus many cafes, restaurants and bars.

It's a lovely little building, just a stroll from the Priory and also from the Quay.
The owner is friendly and explains everything.
It is well preserved and very interesting.
It also acts as a gallery for artworks.
