Well we have returned to The Harbour Hotel and lots of things have improved but just 1 more thing to attend to. The last time we stayed here I sent a poor report about the rude unhelpful receptionist's. What a change lovely girls, very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded at no extra cost. The room was very clean and comfortable. The cuisine is superb and cooked to perfection.
Now the only poor point. For the size of the hotel they only provide 2 disabled parking spaces and they are not policed properly. So 9 times out of 10 it was occupied by the lazy able bodied. When you have mobility problems it is very upsetting.
But please do not let this put you off this fabulous hotel.

We had great expectations given the brochure and pricing policy.
The room had a great view but the cleaning standards leave much to be desired. Carpets were obviouslt filthy as were other parts of the room. Food quality in the restaurant is mediocre at best. Frozen food poorly defrosted and tastless cuisine.
The saving grace is the Jetty Restaurant in the grounds...world class, food quality outdtanding as is presentation and taste..great job, well done. You deserve great success.
On leaving spoke with the assistant manager who was concerned about our views about lack of cleanliness, car parking nightmares and what seems a total lack or organisation and management oversight.
The Jetty restaurant made it for us but the hotel is charging high prices for the current offering. Whilst we waited for the assistant manager another visitor was making exactly the same complaints especially about the lack if cleanliness in the rooms.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I am sorry for not being able to meet your expectations this occasion. I am happy to hear that you have enjoyed the Jetty as they have the same executive chef as us here, and I can assure you that the food is made with fresh ingredients. I hope to be able to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards,

Stayed here for 2 nights in August to celebrate a birthday. We had a garden view room. It was quite dark so we asked to be moved which was accommodated. Furniture was a bit old fashioned. We had to have our pillowcases changed twice as they smelt damp and was so strong made the room smell. I think it must have been the pillows. Restaurant and other areas nicely presented. The outside area overlooking the bay was very pleasant.

stayed in a garden room for one night last week ,arrived at 3-30pm, it was difficult to find a space in the car park ,but after driving around a few times managed to park ,near the outside Jetty restaurant ,lovely room ,warm welcome ,asked for a jug of milk for the room as don't like the sachets of long life ,it arrived straight away ,we went into the restaurant for afternoon tea ,which was lovely ,couldn't eat it all ,but it was wrapped up for us to have later ,the éclair's melted in the mouth ,the staff are all very attentive and listen when you ask for something. It was busy for dinner in the evening and a little noisy ,but it was people enjoying themselves ,lots of cosy areas to sit in after dinner ,We would like to return soon ,this place must be amazing in the summer with the doors open to the garden areas ,from the garden room and the dining room ,we will be back to see it then...

Room tip: the garden room has french doors to a small private patio, lovley

Stayed 2 nights for our daughters wedding. The hotel and rooms are well appointed but the dining room for each meal was poorly organised. We had a side room on Friday night and the staff had to be asked 3 times for the wine list. Saturday breakfast was fine but we arrived early as it opened. Sunday morning was a shambles. We had to ask for a waiter to come and take our order and then he was told off and sent away - after an hour the majority of our party had not received their breakfast order. There was no acknowledgment and no apology.
