““A lovely place to stay for large family ””
Reviewed 10 February 2018 for a stay in January 2018

We enjoyed our stay here at Little Millend. The cottage is located on a quiet, country road with beautiful views across farm fields and a babbling brook. The cottage ameneties are outstanding with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen well set up with plenty of crockery, cutlery, saucepans and baking dishes. The little touches like washing up liquid and cooking oil was appreciated.
It was nice to find a bottle of milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge as well as some nice crisps and biscuits some tea and coffee in the cottage for our arrival. Such a nice touch and it's small extras like this that make guests feel welcome and appreciated.

All the bedrooms and beds are comfy and cosy and clean, the floor plan is perfect for two families as there are two bedrooms on the lower ground floor away from the main part of the house. The main bedroom and bathroom is upstairs from the living area.

We particularly enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi which was a fabulous!(Towels available). Even though it was January, 6 of us enjoyed laying back in the warm water watching the stars. The log burner was nice too!

The location is peaceful, relaxing and is perfectly situated to visit the Forest of Dean area including the beautiful River Wye. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas for all ages. Nice country pubs within walking distance.(10min) The Ostrich Inn. Lovely food!
Will definitely come back and refer to friends.

I Recommend this place if you have a large family of 7 or 2 small familys.

“Cosy and comfy cottage”
Reviewed 31 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

We enjoyed our stay here near Coleford. The cottage is located on a quiet, country road with beautiful views across farm fields and a babbling brook.
The cottage ameneties are outstanding with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen well set up with plenty of crockery, cutlery, saucepans and baking dishes. This was much appreciated as we were cooking Xmas lunch for 8 people.

All the bedrooms and beds are comfy and cosy and the floor plan is perfect for two families as there are two bedrooms on the lower ground floor away from the main part of the house. The main bedroom and bathroom is upstairs from the living area.

We particularly enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi which was a treat. Even though there was snow and rain during our stay, it was fab laying back in the warm water watching the stars.

Our hosts are very helpful. When the power went out for a morning due to the weather conditions, they bought us a small gas cooker and more firewood so at least we could cook breakfast and have a fire burning.

Thank you for a lovely stay and the fabulous food and wine hamper that was in the cottage for our arrival. Such a nice touch and it's small extras like this that make guests feel welcome and appreciated. Will definitely come back and refer to friends.

“Great base for Forest of Dean”
Reviewed 3 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Wonderful comfy cottage, roomy and clean and perfect for two families. The added luxuries of the hot tub and log burner were a bonus after a day exploring. The location is fantastic, just outside Coleford (shops) and within walking distance of Clearwell (lots of lovely pubs, and the old iron mines) and Puzzle Wood, another beautiful attraction, as well as a short drive from Cannop Ponds and the visitor centre. Highly recommended.

“Perfect quiet getaway”
Reviewed 8 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Absolutely incredible time and a perfect getaway!

Stayed there with a group of friends (3 couples, 1 baby and dog) and it was perfect for us. We were made to feel comfortable straight away by the owner who greeted us when we got there and left treats for us and the dog.

It was lovely and warm throughout and the hot tub was a great feature in the evenings especially. Lots of walks and cycle tracks etc around too.

Will definitely be booking again soon!

“Perfect”
Reviewed 23 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

We have just got back from a perfect break at Little Millend. The cottage was perfect, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The layout of the cottage is truly unique, allowing two families their own space as its set on three levels, with the lounge diner, on the middle level.
We had fantastic walks in the Forest of Dean, which is close by. And the hot tub was perfect to ease aching limbs at the end of the day.
Lots to do and see in the area, but we ran out of time, would definitely love to come back!!
