Lots of choice in quirky surroundings- a little pricey & don't take cards so be prepared

Pinky Murphy's is a blast from the past. Every chair, table, cup, teapot, plate is different but it is like being in a comfortable house. Most of the food is homemade, and the cream tea is amazing. Lashings of cream, jam, butter and two lovely fruit scones (homemade of course and warm). It has lots of books around for you to just sit and read, or meet up with friends. They welcome everyone from the youngest to the oldest. It really is a very friendly place to go.

Arrive in Fowey on the Bodinnick ferry, park the car and stop off here for a coffee or lunch on the way into Fowey. Some very interesting decor, interesting books to browse and Batman on the telly!

Best scrambelled eggs in Fowey!! A little Oasis at the end of the high street, well worth the extra walk

Called at Pinky Murphy's for a late lunch

Quirky decor, and truly nice food

Surprised at the comment suggesting this cafe is dirty and shabby. Yes the decor isn't exactly Downton Abbey but the settee in question was covered with a very clean throw and all tables, chairs and the open kitchen area were spotlessly clean.

Lets get down to important facts, the food. My husband commented that the home made vegetarian pate was the best he'd ever tasted and was served with ample toast and a beautiful salad. I had the sweet potato with goats cheese, again served with a lovely salad. Son and daughter also commented on how nice the food was.

Staff were pleasant too

We will definitely go again when we next visit Fowey
