Situated in the centre of Fowey The Well House is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1430, and offers a tea room and rear courtyard with a Medieval well. This quaint old building is full of character and the staff are really friendly and welcoming., this includes their well-behaved pet dog who welcomes everybody.
Stopped here for lunch but ended up having the all-day breakfast which came with a gluten free option. All the food is freshly cooked to order and when dished up was delicious, much better than some other establishments we have previously visited in Fowey.
Dog friendly and with WIFI this place has everything you need, it also advertises B&B which we may sample at some point.
They also have a small shopfront where you can buy ice cream - really nice!!
One word of advice, mind your head as there are low beams.

Characterful B&B in the middle of Fowey. Great location and friendly hosts. A superb spot for exploring this picture-postcard village in Cornwall. If you are driving, make sure you know where to park as the locality is busy. Recommended.

We called in for ice creams and coffee after a kayaking trip. Tim, one of the owners, served us and was very friendly and informative about Fowey. The ice cream was local and delicious, with a variety of flavours, and reasonable prices. The Well House also has B&B rooms, a takeaway and cafe/tea rooms.

We stopped to have lunch a rainy day in June.
Apparently, set in the oldest house in Fowey, the place is full of character. (Even the toilet had a story behind it!)
Lovely staff, (Don't forget to say hello to Frank!)
I would recommend the crab sandwich/baguette.
Not Michelin star food, but great for the price.

This is going to be a short and sweet review as the only way to sum up The Wells House and the wonderful couple who run it ( not forgetting Frank ) is simply perfect !!!
We loved every minute of our stay and have been back to visit a number of times since , we even bought a house near by after talking to the owners and falling madly in love with Cornwall.
Felt comfortable from the minute we arrived , nothing was too much trouble .
Wonderful.
