We arrived at Elton Guest House on a cold wet late afternoon and were greeted by Liam who showed us to an available bedroom for the night. He offered us tea and muffins, which were well received as we were tired and cold after a day's visit to Hilltop, Beatrix Potter's House by Lake Windemere. Liam advised us where to go for an evening meal and then invited us to sit in the Lounge before retiring to bed. The room was very comfortable, with en-suite facilities, tea/coffee making facilities, TV and all home comforts. It was our first experience of randomly staying overnight away from home and I can't emphasise enough what a great experience it turned out to be!! Thanks to the hospitality of Lynn and Liam who made us a great personalised cooked breakfast in the morning and helped us with car parking and made all aspects of our stay most enjoyable! Well done and BIG THANK YOU!!

Room tip: There is a car park immediately opposite so request a Permit for free convenient parking.

Lynn welcomed us to Elton House with a pot of tea and chocolate muffins (I liked her instantly!) The ground floor room was great and the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and I have to say it kept us going until tea time! Lynn and Liam were great hosts and I would definitely choose to stay at Elton House again if I was in the area. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Room tip: Elton House has a ground floor double room so ideal for disabled visitors

We stopped here for two nights whilst doing the Morecambe Bay Cross Bay Walk. We stayed in a lovely double bedroom on the ground floor and our dog came too. Lynn and Liam could not have been more welcoming, we were given coffee & muffins on arrival which went down well.:) Little thoughtful touches like booking us a table at a dog-friendly restaurant on the Sat night and saving our labrador a sausage at breakfast made us feel very looked after.Thank you Liam & Lynn.

We have been staying at Elton Guest House for a few years now, and I decided to bring my Mum with me for an extra holiday. Lynn & Liam are wonderful. They are very welcoming, and working hard to update the Guest House to a high standard. For the cooked breakfast they use local produce where they can. I would recommend staying there to anyone. You will be sure of a warm friendly greeting and very comfortable rooms.

Went there for the August bank holiday weekend with my boyfriend and couldn't ask for a better place to stay.
This is a lovely and quiet place to stay.
Warming welcome by the owner.
Recommend it 100%.
