Description: The Crown Inn Pub and Restaurant - our aim is to accommodate both drinkers and diners alike, within a comfortable contemporary setting (we have tried to mix the old with the new, to create a warm, cosy ambience)We have been here for 6 years, and Phil does all of the cooking, so our main objective is to provide consistently good home-cooked food (which obviously takes time to prepare and cook to your liking) from an extensive menu, using only quality produce. We would like to think that our service is of a similar standard to the food, and that you should feel welcome and 'looked after' at all times.

We drove past this pub one evening which looked inviting then decided to eat there after looking at their sample menu on their website plus it wasn’t far from where we were staying. It was surprisingly very busy for a Wednesday evening but they managed to fit us in. The food far exceeded our expectations. It was really lovely, tasty, and well presented and just right portion wise. Two had the chicken in tarragon sauce and one had the lamb rump. If only we had room for one of their desserts but unfortunately we didn’t!! A very pleasant and friendly young lady served us and overall the pub had a lovely atmosphere and vibe. If we are in this area again we will definitely return.

We called up and tried to book a table but were told they were full until much later in the evening, so we arrived rather late and they managed to squeeze us in.... we were not able to order until
After 9.30, but we were happy that they agreed to seat us.
I have to say the pub itself is really lovely and idyllic, a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly.
The food really is outstanding. My Dad had the Seabass and he said it was the best he had ever had, Mom had the crab which was delicious, my 9 year old had the chicken goujons Which were homemade and so tasty, I had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection.... all the food was very generous, oh and the chips - delightful....
This is a perfect country pub and restaurant, if i lived locally I’d be a regular...
Highly recommend but you MUST book.

Four of us went for lunch purely after reading the trip advisor reviews, we certainly weren’t disappointed.
There wasn’t anything that you could or would want to complain about, we had booked and the table was ready when we arrived.
The staff, the service and the food were all exceptional, it’s such a shame that two of us live in Guildford.
Thanks for a beautiful lunch, the liver was absolutely wonderful.

Called in on the offchance and told by a lady that no table would be available until much later that evening. On enquiring whether she could recommend somewhere else in the area, she flatly refused, hence we walked out.
We felt that as holdiay makers, she could have pointed us to at least a couple of other place locally.
Very rude and unfriendly.
