I usually have a warmed Choc au pain with my excellent Mocha to start the day at Hurst on the hill but for a change had the home made bread pudding. It was superb just like my mother used to make. Along with the friendly staff and great coffee this is the cafe to sit and watch the world go by or at least Milford green.

Lovely service and knew their stuff. Made us feel welcome and the coffee was great. Sometimes a bit of nice service goes such a long way.

We popped into this cafe for a quick bite to eat and coffee. The coffee was lovely and the service superb - very friendly and helpful. The sausages are locally produced and apparently award winning. I’m not sure this isn’t a case of the emperor and his clothes though. They were fine, but what do I know?

Popped into here for breakfast, nicer than the needles cafe but that’s not saying much! Just an average caff selling slightly overpriced stuff.

Sorry to hear you think we are 'average'. The general consensus is that we are not average. With our ethos. Our link to Hurst castle. Our 'industrial' decor. We respect your opinion and your entitled to it. But I'm afraid we have to disagree. We are a completely different style establishment to the needles eye. Different style. Produce. Clientele. We offer tasting menus and pop up restaurants. What the needles eye do. They do very well! Our prices we feel are fair. Everything is made from scratch here. Using the best Ingredients we can source that are in season. For example Isle of Wight tomatoes. Sausages from the butcher next door. Which have won gold in Hampshire for years or the gold award winning coffee beans. The fresh bread that we pick up from our Baker every morning. These come at a cost. And from scratch also means more time. This is all reflected in our prices. Unfortunately for businesses prices on products are going up rather than down.
