My husband and I stayed here on a Saturday night for a well earned break from our 2 year old. We booked a luxury room with the 7 course taster menu. The room was stunning and spotlessly clean and every need taken care of. We are big foodies and have eaten at some exceptional restaurants around the world, the food at Orles was up there with the best. As good (if not better) than the Michelin star meals we have eaten. The staff were the friendliest in any hotel we have stayed in and it was a pleasure to meet the very interesting and personable owner. Thanks for a magical stay, we can't wait for the next time.

We recently stayed at Orles Bar and will definitely be going back! From the moment we walked through the door we knew it was going to be fantastic. The staff were friendly but in the most relaxed way, we were offered refreshments in the bar and shown to our room which was beautiful.

We stayed in D'Arcy Spice which is a newly refurbished suite, it had it's own entrance which made it feel very private. Fantastic interior coupled with a new bathroom with a roll top bath and sparkly ceiling was just perfect.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening which if you stay at this hotel you just have to do! All locally sourced and cooked to a very high standard. The attention to detail is second to none and it was a real treat to meet the chef who is extremely knowledgable and very passionate about his food.

The whole experience is a foodie one and breakfast is a real treat, I had pancakes, smoked bacon and maple syrup which isn't something I would normally go for and my partner had kedgeree, both were amazing!

We're already looking to when we can go back but this time we will be staying two nights! Well done Orles Barn, you're one in a million!

Room Tip: The website is really good with great pictures of the rooms.

Have never rated on TripAdvisor before but felt this place really deserved it. Went with my girlfriend for her birthday and from the moment we arrived we were treated brilliantly. We stayed in Pixie Apple and the look on my girlfriends face when she saw the room with the bathtub in was worth the price alone.

Dan the chef met us in the bar (great pint of Wye Valley Bitter) and suggested the tasting menu. It was honestly one of the best meals I have ever had. Trout and cauliflower puree with cauliflower tempura is not something I would normally go for but it was absolutely stunning.

This is cooking at very very high standard. Combine that with beautiful rooms and very friendly staff and this is a place we will definitely come back to.

A big thankyou to Richard, Kelly, Hazel and Dan

First class stay from start to finish. Stayed night after Valentines for romantic night without kids. Very warmly greeted by Richard, the owner who offered us refreshments. We had just had a naughty cream tea so we declined and Richard helped us with our bags to the Pixie Apple suite. Could not have asked for a more lovely room. Huge, beautifully decorated and furnished, big exposed beams with a deep and wide freestanding roll top bath with mini colour changing led lights above it! Their was also a walk-in wardrobe with dressing table, a sofa and new ensuite shower room.
We had an aperitif and nibbles by the fire in the bar area and having looked at the menu, opted to upgrade to the 7 course tasting menu. So glad we did, it was a truly pleasing culinary experience. Dan, the Chef, came out of the kitchen to consult with us on our likes and dislikes. What he then created was one of, if not the best, dining experiences of our lives. The dishes were imaginative, beautifully presented, tailored to our tastes and most importantly tasted delicious. There was a huge amount to eat and we wished we hadn't had that cream tea 5 hours earlier.
We had a very comfortable nights sleep and enjoyed a nice cooked breakfast, served by Richard's wife who was very warm and friendly.
The hotel had lots of character and was very clean throughout.
Would highly recommend staying there.

The hosts were very friendly and made the stay very enjoyable. The rooms were great, very clean and tidy and well decorated. The food was amazing some of the best we have tasted. If you are staying in the Ross-on-Wye area this is the best place to stay.
