Small and friendly and a great location - about 100 yards from town center. Room comfortable and breakfast cooked to order. Nice part of the country and within easy reach of Symonds Yat and Hay on Wye, and watch the Severn Bore at Minsterworth. Thanks Patrick for a great weekend.

Room Tip: Room 3 overlooks churchyard

Exellent location for visiting and eating in Ross as well as looking around the Wye Valley. Our host, Patrick, was extremely helpful, informative and welcoming. Great breakfast prepared to your own requirements.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review - and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. As breakfast is the only meal we serve (loads of choice for other meals all within 2 mins walk), it's really important you should enjoy it! Hope to see you again soon...

It is a lovely charming period guest house. Host is entertaining and very suited to the role, has some interesting tales.
Room 2 was lovely and quirky. Shower head could do with replacement and bed was firm.
Breakfast is a cosy affair, only small breakfast room, breakfast cooked to order by the host. Access code to guest house sent by email, so easy access.
Can thoroughly recommend eating at No 3, in town, but book well in advance.

Room Tip: Room 2, overlooks the church and graveyard, very picturesque

Thanks for taking the time to write Ian - we'll take care of that shower head! There are some lovely places to eat all within walking distance - No 3 being one of the most popular at the moment!

Start with the good things as there are plenty. The location is perfect, rooms are spacious, clean and good size. The breakfast was fine and made to order (although us from up north like blackpudding with our full English). The only downside was our shower did work properly but this was soon sorted. Would definitely recommend the Linden and stay again.

Thanks for writing a review LRAB - and glad Patrick was able to sort the shower for you! Patrick really enjoys looking after all our guests (and I've sneaked a bit of black pudding in to the house too - sorry you missed it!).

on TripAdvisor there were ravings about breakfast etc etc. Don't expect too much!! small kitchen area with all cooked on one hob. Problem may be if one is veg and the other isn't.
We had a small room ( which was expected) but bathroom was dated and needed a re vamp. Patrick was a great host but the entire package was overpriced and needed a revamp

Room Tip: not sure our room was not that good

Thanks for leaving your views Phill - and sorry you felt slightly unhappy. There are a few things you mentioned that we would have loved to discuss with you at the time had you mentioned it - for example how we manage vegetarian breakfasts using additional equipment with/on the griddle (and of course the 'real' kitchen a few steps away) and also our repair and renewal schedule as well as the additional costs a business faces, rather than those undertaking B&B for 'pin' money. We hope you enjoyed the area though, and plan to return to our beautiful county another time.
