We booked the deluxe room for one night and was pleasantly surprised to find a four poster bed when we arrived. The hotel is old but lovely. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view of the castle. We asked about an evening meal but the restaurant was booked for a private function this wasn't a problem as the young lady in reception was very helpful when I asked for recommending somewhere else to eat and it also gave us an excuse to stroll around chepstow high street. We did find a lovely little Italian called mamma Mia.
A delicious and freshly cooked breakfast the next morning was lovely with plenty of tea and toast. There were other options of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and muffins. The staff were lovely as was the hotel and would definitely stay here again. The car park across the road is pay and display but only between 9-5 Monday to Saturday so as we got there at 5pm on Saturday we didn't need to pay.More
