We booked a table for 6 and gave 3 weeks notice of my Mothers dietary requirements and requested a sole dish off one of the online sample menus.
Unfortunately on the evening of my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary there was no sole available or seemingly any record of our request reaching the kitchen. After I explained the situation the manager did apologise and eventually knocked a bottle of wine off the final bill however that's not really good enough.
What is the point in asking customers if they have any food allergies or intolerance if the reservations team don't speak to the kitchen or bother to get back to the customer to discuss alternative arrangements?
On the whole the food was good but at nearly £500 for the meal the evening should have been perfect.
