“My perfect Exmoor retreat”
Reviewed 18 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Arrived to be greeted by friendly, helpful and informative owner, was taken to accommodation in idyllic setting and once inside we were met with the smell of freshly home baked bread this was baked in the bread maker which was part of the most extensively equipped kitchen we have ever encountered in self catering a veritable home from home.

We choose this accommodation because we were treating my elderly mother to a short break and the ground floor bedroom and shower perfectly suited her needs, our bedroom was upstairs with ensuite bathroom above the very large well furnished lounge, there was a pretty third bedroom which we did not use.

The views from the lounge over the surrounding country side could also be taken in whilst eating in the large kitchen diner, the fridge/freezer was a very useful addition as was the dishwasher. Besides providing an unexpected welcome pack the barn had extensive information about local attractions.

Even though we stayed in early February we were pleasantly surprised at how warm and snug Farthingwood Barn was and even more impressed that there was no surcharge for heating / electricity which seems to be the case in many lettings.

Most liked the whole package

Least like having to leave

Looking forward to returning.

“Far From The Madding Crowd”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Great welcome, great accommodation and a beautiful location.

The only negative I can think of is the lack of mobile phone signal on most networks. In spite of that I'd certainly recommend a visit to Eden Lodge

“Perfect mini break away!”
Reviewed 11 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Stayed on this beautiful farm over the weekend from 7th- 10th March. The location was amazing in walking distance to a local pub (fantastic service and food), local store and petrol station. All necessary things you can need in a local proximity.
Not only was the weather in our favour that weekend, it could have not been a better time to visit the north devon coast. The harbours and beaches were very peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend visiting Appledore, Woolacombe and Cloverlly all picturesque places to visit.

We both thoroughly enjoyed out stay and were very welcomed by the hospitality on arrival and departure. The lodge was very well equipped and perfect for a long weekend away in the country!
