Visited this pub as a treat on bank holiday, the staff and service was really good. However l ordered a Moussaka and I was extremely disappointed with the dish , the food is not cheap and when my Moussaka appeared I was disappointment , it consisted of half a hollowed out small Aubergine and was topped with a spoonful of mince with a small amount of melted cheese on top. They either need to change the menu or look up how to cook Moussaka. For this very small meal I paid the price of £14.95. I don’t think l will return .

I am sorry to hear of your dissapointment with the Aubergine dish, we would have changed the dish for you if you had mentioned it at the time if it was not to your liking.
I sincerely hope this will not deter you from coming back in the future

We dropped in here at 5pm. There were loads of empty tables but we were told as they were booked for later we couldn't be served. We explained we would only be having 1 drink and then leaving within the hour. Still no joy. Bit daft really. Still I'm sure all the kids in there drank plenty of cola.

A very welcoming pub with great staff and an excellent landlady.

Great food and beers and very dog friendly. Been here several times when meeting up with family as it is half way and never disappointed.

We called in today for Sunday lunch. The pub itself was very clean and the staff seemed friendly, we ordered the roast beef and enjoyed our drinks while we waited for our lunch to arrive. When the meals arrived they looked nice, but the Yorkshire’s were very flat and looked frozen not homemade the carrots were all wrinkly. On tasting it most of it was cold, the carrots, kale, swede and broccoli all cold, the meat plonked on top was tepid, once you lifted the meat to find the roast potatoes there was steam coming off the dinner. The meals had clearly been pre plated for lunch and the meat and gravy put on prior to serving and pinged in the microwave. This is why the carrots were wrinkled and all the outside veg cold. We were not happy and sent them back, we decided at this point we’d rather not try another roast dinner and paid for our drinks left. If you are going to re heat the dinners at least make sure they are pipping hot. We won’t be returning, there are far better places to have a delicious Sunday roast but this isn’t one of them.

Lovely pub, staff welcoming, friendly and efficient. The prawn linguine is devine, lovely rich spicy sauce without lots of oil. Serving the cheese on the side was a nice touch too.
