We stayed here after a 25th Wedding Anniversary party. We had two rooms. The rooms were excellent. Clean and furnished with tea and coffee. Bathroom and shower were very good. Very clean. Probably a shower mat would be good in the shower. Once you use shower gel the floor of the shower is extremely slippery. And old person unsteady on their feet would struggle. When staying here you must be aware that this hotel’s clientele is families with young children, not business people. There is noise early in the morning from young children. Also, the hotel warns that during breakfast they have a very busy period where you may struggle to find tables. But since there were signs everywhere warning you about this we did have breakfast early.
The breakfast has limited choice compared to others - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and beans. Toast or croissant and mini muffins. Some cereals and fruit. Only thing was it was so busy they were constantly running out of plates, cutlery and tea bags. Think the staff should keep a better eye on this. Everything is self service including tea and coffee so staff only need to clean tables and replenish stocks! But we were constantly asking them for things...including English Breakfast tea bags!!
But the main issue here is parking. Hotel warns you about this on their website and say its first come first serve. And there’s only about 25-30 spaces. The nearby station car park was full. We ended up parking our car on single yellow line. So beware. But on the whole I give this hotel a 4 because you get a warm, clean room, a bar and a free breakfast buffet. If staying one or two nights it does the job.
Would stay here again.

Dear Ziggy1973,

Thank you for the feedback.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us and Happy Anniversary again.
Thank you for the great comments about the room. Our showers cubicles have anti slippery dots at the bottom and they are up to EU and Uk Health and Safety Standards.
As you mentioned, breakfast can be extremely busy over the weekends, because our weekend guest are families due to the close proximity to Legoland. During the week the hotel is a corporate hotel.
Our car park is first come first serve and we charge £10 overnight. Alternative pay and display parking is available nearby.
Thank you again and see you soon.
Kind regards,
L Bene

This hotel is a joke!
Arrived after a day at Legoland with the two children only to find that there was nowhere to park. This hotel has 142 rooms and only approx 30 car parking spaces and that includes 3 disabled which we were told that they would fine us if we parked there . Which is fair but surely they should have known whether they were expecting a disabled guest?
We were then told we had 2 options that were park in the street which was £7.50 or in the smallest train station carpark I have ever come across which held approximately 16 spaces which was £4.50 but ran out at midnight! Then we came across another couple which pre-paid for parking but still had no space for them.
Later on we discovered that the staff had parked in the carpark also which brought the number of spaces down even further. Our event was replicated for most of the evening with others arriving all the time.
You may notice that on trip advisor it says free parking at the hotel but it's actually £10 per night. The breakfast was OK but not a lot of choices if you have allergies ( gluten).
Lastly the are some really bazaar noises through the night which kept waking me up.

Dear moss773,

Thank you for taking time to review your stay.

I am sorry you could not find a parking space in our car park. All websites informs our guests about limited first come first serve basis car park. The spaces can not be pre booked and we charge £10 per night. Unfortunately disabled parking is for people who hold a disabled badge and we can not allow other guests to take those spaces. It simply would not be fair.
Our breakfast is a standard IHG Express breakfast with items you find in all Express hotels and of course it is always included in the room rate and we do not charge extra.
Thank you again for your feedback.

Stayed here for business recently. It’s right by the station (about 4 mins walk) and it’s about 15 mins walk into town. The rooms are good, fairly standard, everything worked well, clean and bed very comfortable. The free breakfast was lovely. Possibly a little limited compared with Premier Inn, say, but for free, I think it’s great. Usual stuff, toast, fruit, yoghurts, bacon, sausages etc. I ate in the ‘restaurant’ one night which was OK, not great. The fish and chips looked and tasted like frozen one and to be fair, for a ‘restaurant’ that has probably no more than a dozen people in a night, I wouldn’t expect them to have a chef on standby to cook everything from fresh. Parking is tight but if you’re in before 6pm or so, you should be fine. I do wish there was some sort of parking enforcement though as two vehicles were covering 4 spaces when I went which was infuriating. I got a room facing away from the train station which was fine, couldn’t hear any trains from there (I always pack earplugs anyway). The service generally was excellent, and I can’t fault them there at all. I’d happily stay here again / recommend this place. You won’t get much better for your money.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the railway station if you're a light sleeper

Lovely hotel comfy clean and great food. Stayed overnight on a Legoland trip 15 minutes from Legoland and again not far to Windsor centre and he castle so two great days out.

Meals in the bar are very reasonable. Breakfast was good the bacon a little over done but some like it like that. Great choice of cereals and pastries could use a bit of a wider choice on the hot breakfast but no one went hungry. Also your able to grab a hot drink in a to go cup an added bonus.

We had a double and a twin on the fourth floor overlooking the train station little noise but nothing that disturbed our sleep.

It is basically in the train station its that close, room is a good size with desk and sofa. Clean bathroom with shower. For a free breakfast you cant ask for much more. Recommend for a weekend visit to London without having to pay the price of staying in London centre. Train journey is just 30 minutes to Paddington.

Room Tip: higher up the further from train noice you are
