Me and partner stayed here for a golf day, bar area very noisy and disgusting language from societies bar manager unable to control this behaviour, wanted a game of snooker but snooker room out of bounds due to sewage coming up thru grids, balcony chairs very uncomfortable as bare metal no cusions, meal deal, steak, mushroom, onion rings with ice cream for desert £19 not really a good deal.golf course amazing in fabulous condition £56 a round Saturday 241 price if staying at hotel, members very helpful.

Hotel situated in a quiet part of Skegness yet within walking distance of the brash rubbish.Good position overlooking the links next to the beach. The course seems popular but the hotel is very dated and needs ac couple of million spending on it. Dinner was very good as was breakfast. Don't know what it would be like in the winter. If I had to come back to Skegness I might stay again but Skegness is never likely to see me again, its dreadful.

Please refer to my previous response to your associates review, regarding your groups unacceptable behaviour, clearly as much damage as possible seems to be the desired outcome for you,

What a fantastic place to stay whether you are a golfer or just a couple or family wanting a wonderful experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, they tended to all our needs and requests with eagerness to please. The location is perfect to access all attractions and the golf course was very interesting with stunning views. The accommodation was very comfortable and spacious with exceptional views. A very friendly atmosphere in the restaurant and bar and good food available all daywith a varied menu. Can't wait to visit again.

For any negative views on this hotel I would suggest it is their perception and not the truth.

There was a group at the hotel at the time who could have ruined our holiday if it were not for the staff and facilities. They were rude and foul mouthed, very loud and disruptive to other guests in the bar. They used foul language despite the presence of children and young people near them. They created an atmosphere where no-one else could hear each other speaking. They were very noisy at other times too when they shouted at there friends on the golf course whilst they were at the hotel which disrupted other golfers on the course. They should be ashamed of their behaviour. Thank you to the staff for their efforts.

Room tip: Rooms available overlooking the golf course or sea views.

The weather was atrocious with high winds and gusts up to 50mph making it almost impossible to play - course itself was ok but hotel was not great - was put in the annex nicknamed public loo which was not great including getting soaked going to hotel but main problem was the food which to be honest was pretty bad and not acceptable - avoid the curry which is by far the worst I have ever had more like tomato Passata with turkey no spicing and not edible

Thanks for the feedback, it is unfortunate that you visited whilst the weather was poor, not sure where the nickname has appeared from but it is certainly far from that and many guests request year after year to be allocated in the Lodge which has three separate bedrooms.

I will forward your comments to the chef regarding your curry, which is very popular and changed twice a week,

Nick Kilmartin,

General Manager.
