The room was lovely, light and fairly spacious. The on-suite was shower/toilet were good. There was a little fridge in the room, which was useful.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bar was nice. There is a nice terrace out the back, with patio furniture.
We had problems with the internet, but there was only the barman there to tell and he couldn't sort it. When the other staff came in, they sorted that out.
The breakfasts were very nice, fresh, tasty and a decent size.
The hotel was very close to the amenities. It a couple of minutes walk to The Sandcastle Pub and less than 5 minutes walk to the sea and the Seal/Sealife Sanctuary. It was about 10 minutes walk to town.
It was my first visit to Skegness and I would recommend it as a great destination for a short break. I would also recommend this hotel as a great place to stay for your visit.

Room Tip: We had a front room with a bay window, which I loved.

Stopped here for just 1 night we arrived early but that wasn't a problem lovely staff very helpful and polite, room was large bed was very comfortable and clean, maybe the ensuite could do with updating, breakfast was included which was very good. Close to all amenities and the sea overall would recommend and stay again.

Me and my partner stopped here between 19th March and 25th March and was in skegness for our holiday. First of all I would like to say that the place looks nice and the breakfast they do is delicious however we had a few problems throughout our stay. We were there for 6 nights and had a shower almost every day and the water from the shower wouldn't stay at a constant temperature it kept going hot and cold. Also we were given towels at the beginning however no fresh towels throughout our stay even though we were asked if we wanted some and we replied yes please. Also we weren't able to go to bed until past midnight due to the loud music from the bar and also customers that were at the bar in addition to this the walls are paper thin as you can hear what's going off around you, people just talking in their rooms and people going to the toilet. Another issue I had was on the first day as we got there the gentleman was very nice and friendly and asked about payment so we said we'd sort it out one day during our stay. Then a couple of days in I got an email from booking.com to say that the payment from the hotel had been processed through (even though I made no payment) however we were gunna settle it in person and as I looked on my bank the payment was actually processed on the 17th which was before we even arrived. Also the TV in the room had no signal so we couldn't watch anything so there was actually no point in having the TV in the room not to mention it was tiny and it was that far away from the bed you wouldn't have been able to hear anything unless you turn the volume all the way up.
Beware of the bedding lots of static so plenty of shocks.
However on a good note the staff were very friendly and nice especially the lady that does the breakfast.

We have just returned after a 3 day stay at the Clarendon. We could not fault it at all.The room was very clean and comfortable. The hosts, Nessa and speedy bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was superb with a choice of menu. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for specific rooms so not being disappointed.
