Excellent venue for shows whether it be a comedian or a Christmas pantomime. Great for all ages. This venue has 3 floors for various views of the stage and are all very good. The staff are very helpful with any queries you have.

Absolutely fantastic, such talented local youngsters, it was on a par with any west end show. Well done to all the cast.

I/we have visited and enjoyed many productions at this theatre, ranging from professional productions -amateur productions -concerts and the "Annual pilgrimage to the pantomime".
The theatre staff are always friendly and welcoming and the theatre itself lends to an intimate feeling between the audience and stage, they have opened a new and extensive coffee shop and this when coupled with the existing bar covers all requirements for refreshment before during or after a production.
Parking is available locally but can often get busy (naturally) so I would recommend being a little early and then taking advantage of the excellent facilities.
A great local theatre that deserves a visit

I have had the pleasure of attending the Theatre on numerous occasions, for pantomime, comedy and musical theatre.
The staff are helpful, the theatre is a beautiful little venue which suits any performance. Love it!

Took my 8 year old granddaughter to The Theatre Royal. We both enjoyed the visit.l think the play was called Granpa’s lsland.Only two actors in the cast who were really good. The only downside was that it only lasted about 50 minutes.I don’t think that’s long enough for the price of the tickets (£14 full price and £12 concession). An hour and half at least would be better value for your money.
