Me and my other half stumbled across this beautiful castle by accident and decided to give it a go.
It turned out to be a fantastic day in the sun. The castle grounds are very well kept with plenty to see and places to sit and take in your surroundings. As for the castle it's been beautifully kept and decorated. Much of the castle is off limits for the family who still live there but there is a lot to see inside with some stunning decor.
My only criticism is when speaking to a member if the staff, he informed us of various facts and figures relating to the castle and past inhabitants, some of which turned out to be inaccurate once we read the information sources around the castle .
There is also a gift shop available which has a good selection of items. Not just your usual gift shop 'stuff'.
Overall worth the money and a lovely place.
As a side note, this is a fantastic area for any budding photographers although they don't allow photography inside the castle.
