“Fantastic two day break”
Reviewed 8 April 2012

I booked this hotel through an on line third party company called Secret Escapes, as we love locally I knew of the hotel but had never been there, the vast majority of the reviews on trip advisor were very positive so we arrived with high expectations ..... We were not disappointed it was superb,we booked a two night stay on B&B basis with dinner on the first night, the evening meal was beautiful and service and attention to detail first class, our room was on the top floor with a small balcony and harbour views and was spotlessly clean ( although not the biggest room, still adequate ) we felt so relaxed and loved the surrounding area, we are planning our return already. Fantastic hotel

We stayed midweek for a one-night stay. Arrived early, and reception staff happy to check if room had been serviced. It had, so we were able to check in early and enjoy lunch on the terrace.

As we had booked only the day before we couldn't get a sea view, but our room was beautiful, very large and well appointed. Massive king-size bed - unbelievably comfortable - only gripe would be pillows were small and didn't match the quality of the other bedclothes.

Bathroom was high-end - spotlessly clean and bright. Shower easy to use, lashings of very hot water on tap!!.

Bedroom furniture was very good quality and there was plenty of it.

We sat out on the terrace late afternoon as the weather was good, the views over the Solent are spectacular. Staff were attentive and helpful but inobtrusive. We had dinner in the restaurant, beautiful food, well served by staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.

We've stayed here before so would like to mention Milsoms - a good fish restaurant is only a few minutes walk away and Harrys Bar, just a few yards further on is also worth a visit.

All in all, a lovely stay in a good quality hotel, where the staff make guests feel very welcome. Will definitely stay again - hopefully next time, for longer !!

Room Tip: Sea views are best but not always available. All rooms regardless of their view are very well appoi...

I can't add much more to what has already been said, really, other than a few tips about the area. We didn't use the car at all, all weekend, as we walked down to Sandbanks, then ate in the restaurant on the Friday, caught the 52 bus to and from Poole, then walked to Loch Fyne restaurant on Saturday. Then Sunday we had roast lunch at Compton Acres, which is just past Loch Fyne.

We're saving up to go again!

Room Tip: Upgrade to a harbour view - it's well worth it!

A wonderful hotel that offers great service, fantastic food and best of all location, with only a 10 mins walk to Sandbanks.

This is an exclusive hotel, catering for both couples and families alike. A great ambience, with very good outside areas for relaxing or eating.

The rooms are very nice, clean and well appointed. Try and get a room at the back of the hotel as they have the best views and some also have balconies.

If you want a place that offers a little luxury as a base to explore Poole and Bournemouth, or indeed the surrounding area you can't go wrong with Harbour Heights.

Room Tip: Try and get rooms at the back of the hotel as they overlook Poole Harbour.

Absolutely wonderful weekend at the Harbour Heights. The staff were, without exception, professional, helpful and friendly. Lovely room that was very clean with everything we needed. We had a delicious afternoon tea whilst looking out over Sandbanks bay then, in the evening, an equally delicious dinner in the restaurant. Good food beautifully presented, attentive service and a nice ambience. Breakfast was just as good. We are already planning a return visit.
