Avoid this hotel at all costs. It's filthy, run down and the staff are so rude and only care about themselves and going outside for cigarette breaks and the lobby smells of cigarette smoke. Please see some of our photos from our "ensuite" bathroom. Only plus for this dump ìs the sea front location.

Although its a few years since i stayed here, the welcome and facilities remain as good.
Check in was prompt and friendly, my room (107) was a single with sea view on the first floor. Clean, comfortable and warm. Breakfast is now self serve since i last visited, great choice of cereals, prompt service of tea and toast, and a great cooked breakfast selection (Fried, poached and scrambled eggs. Bacon, sausage, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms and beans)
Evening entertainment very good (saturday night) with good bar service.
All told, great value for the price paid. Will return again

Stayed this last weekend. (28th-30 September). We have stayed in Llandudno lots of times in the past but never at The Chatsworth House. As this was a bit of a special occasion we thought we would pay a little bit extra and possibly get a little more luxury or extras.
The Hotel is apparently short staffed and what staff there are, bar for two or three just cannot be bothered to make an effort.
Our room on the first floor had clean bedding but the beds were well used, the mattresses looked like they had never been turned, therefore leaving them sloping to the exit side. Made for difficulty turning over without falling out. The on suite bathroom was mouldy and gave the impression of not being to clean. The room was dirty and dusty, looked like it had been vacuumed regularly but not dusted or the skirting boards cleaned since the beginning of the season.
The whole Hotel seemed to be in the same state including the lifts.
Nearly every time you tried to get in the lift someone had filled it with suitcases because they were moving rooms, either because their allocated room was "Disgusting" or things did not work or were broken.
The Restaurant had plenty of empty tables but this did not stop them putting you on a small table along with two other people. You had to sit at your cramped table for breakfast despite the rest of the restaurant being empty.
The breakfasts were almost inedible with under cooked Bacon, Sausages and runny eggs and very pale toast. There was always something missing on the table, a knife or a side plate or the Salt or Pepper and you had to watch the cutlery and plates because quite a lot of them were dirty or stained with food. By the time you had sorted out the shortages or got clean items your breakfast which as only luke warm to start with was nearly cold.
The Evening meals were more palatable but even then it was obvious the cheapest cuts of meat had been used. We spoke to a member of Staff who pulled a face and said "now you see why the staff do not eat here" . What Staff there were on duty seemed very poorly trained and lacked any enthusiasm to help with problems.
The Bar seemed well stocked, if a little pricey.
The Pool had no Life Guard which was made plain on notices but the Male changing rooms were swimming in water and definitely in need of an attendant. There was no soap in the Showers or toilets so people were just going into the pool without washing their hands after using the facilities. And it was a work of art to try and get out of the Changing Rooms without walking through water in either your shoes or getting wet feet with no where outside to dry them properly.
To say the hotel was charging upto 33% more than a lot of the other local hotels it was definitely not value for money. Of all the Hotels we have stayed in when visiting Llandudno this was by far the worst.

Room Tip: Don't Stay here.

We had a lovely stay at the chatsworth house hotel. We stayed with our dog. Staff are lovely. We will definitely be coming back again. They have a pool which looked nice but we didn’t use. The breakfast is very tasty.
