We booked this guest house last minute and were attracted here because they allow well behaved pets and we have two dogs, we arrived to a lovely welcome from both bill and charmaine who helped us from up the street with our baggage. We were helped to our room which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was a lovely full english, no complaints at all. The location could not be any more perfect as it is a minute from the beach, there is a pub across the road and the shopping area is around the corner. For the walking and sightseeing lovers the road leading to the Orme is behind the guest house. Overall our stay was superb! We would definatelty return!

Not sure whether I should write this revue as it may attract more people to this ideal seaside guest house.
Booked the hotel on the spur of the moment and could not have been happier with the result!
From the first meeting with Bill and Charmaine we were welcomed like old friends. Our room (room 1) was outstanding especially for the rate charged. I have stayed in lots of hotels ranging from the pretty dire to 5* but we were shown to a room full of character, lovely decor and a visually very warming wall fire, wonderful especially as it was a cold winter's day when we arrived.
Excellent en-suite facilities and a really good breakfast and everything was spotless.
The hotel is situated close to the pier and centre of the town but far enough away to still have a small, quiet community feel, helped by the excellent pub just over the road.
Looking forward to going back and trying their restaurant. .

Room Tip: There are only 4 rooms and all are very good but it is worth paying the extra for the Room 1.

what can i say......perfect in every way we stayed for a long weekend fri eve to mon morning and
from the moment you walked through the front door you were made to feel at home....
bill and charmaine made you feel like you had known them all your life and they are not intrusive...
the hotel only has 4 rooms and they were spotless and the bed very comfy and the shower nice and hot.....
tea/coffee was in the room and topped up every day...
the food was very good...
there are freeview tv`s in the rooms with loads of channels
there is also free high speed wi/fi for those who want to access the internet...
there is street parking and if you get a good spot you can park outside the hotel which we did....

we will definatly be going back and recommend the hotel to our family and friends
the location is perfect just 1 min from pier and sea front, 5 mins to great orm tramway and 5 mins from town centre shops
ask charmaine to get their dog to do tricks...kids will love it.....
they are opening a restaraunt on the ground floor in a couple of weeks and if the food is as good as breakfast you will not go wrong...

first class in every way...

A very welcoming and homely guest house. I have stayed at Mostyn House for several nights each summer for the past 3 years. The owners have always been very helpful and accommodating even allowing my dog to stay with me by prior arrangement. They really do make you feel at home in their house and are not intrusive. They allow you to come and go as you please, access later at night has not been a problem either, keys for the outer night door are provided with your room key. I would definitely recommend this accommodation if you are visiting the Llandudno area and I hope to visit myself again soon.

Rooms

The rooms are well kept, very clean and comfortable with TV, tea and coffee making facilities and have en suite amenities. From the rooms on the front of the property you can also see the edge of Llandudno bay. Wi-Fi internet access has also been available during my last couple of stays, free of charge. This is a great feature for an independent guest house, since most either do not have this or charge a fortune for the facility.

The couple do own dogs but there is no smell, dog hair, noise, etc. The dogs are kept under control and the place is spotless. The first time I stayed there I didn’t even know they had their own dogs until I asked.

Breakfast

Charmaine always makes a delicious, hot and fresh full Welsh breakfast with tea or coffee. Various cereals, fruit juice and toast are available too. I have tried the egg & smoked fish, but the full Welsh breakfast is definitely my favourite. It is always a great start to the day.

Location

The location is very good, on the one-way part of Church Walks, a side road just off the Great Orme end of the Llandudno promenade. The main beach is a short walk away, although dogs are not allowed on this beach. There is however a stairway down to a separate beach that dogs are allowed on to just to the west side of the Llandudno pier.

Parking is a little awkward, but after driving around the block I have always been able to find a free unrestricted parking space on a road, usually within 5 minutes walk of the guest house.

The town centre with its many shops, cafés, bars and restaurants is easily within walking distance.

There are numerous pubs and eateries within a few minutes walk. There are 2 small pubs opposite the guest house, but noise was never a problem. The only noise I heard was the sound of seagulls in the morning, reminding me I was at the seaside.

There is also Happy Valley on the side of the Great Orme, a very nice place to visit or to walk the dog. The summit of the Great Orme is also a nice short drive away and great place for a picnic with some amazing views. The Orme also has the added attractions of a rare real cable driven Tramway and an elevated Cable Car system.

Room Tip: Large Double Room 3 on the front is my favourite
