Loriston Guest House
Ranked #38 of 75 Eastbourne B&B and Inns
Reviewed 17 July 2012

Mum and I spent 6 days at the Loriston Guest House, we were given a warm greeting by Gwen who then asked Patrick to take our cases. While Patrick took our cases to our room Gwen suggested places to eat. I was so taken with how the rooms looked on the website that when booking I forgot to ask about disabled access, unfortunetly we were placed on the top floor and there was no lift, this was uncomfortable for me but it did not stop me from having a good time, and Gwen and Patrick were so accommodating. The room was beautiful and very clean. The Loriston is close to the sea front and to local amenities. The breakfast choice is great and Patrick cooks a mean breakfast. I would recommend this guest house for a relaxing and a perfect break. We would go there again but would have to book the first floor, ok Gwen:-)

I really missed you when I got back you were such a lovely Mum and Daughter

The Loriston is on 2 floors and you were on second floor

And even though you had a disability you never once complained, if we had not been full we would have moved you

We both hope to see you again one day

You just know your mum has a job here ha ha

Well Gwenn and Patrick you can be very proud of your guest house. We arrived on Friday 29th June to stay for 2 nights and so glad we chose the Loriston. We were very warmly greeted by both Gwenn and Patrick the owners and shown straight to our lovely room. Gwenn also took the time to tell us of the local places to eat and visit she even gave us discount vouchers for some. The tasteful decor throughout the house showed attention to detail. Comfortable bed with every thing you needed in the en-suite including good quality shower products. The breakfast choice was extreemly good with again quality fresh fruit, cereal and a good hearty full english breakfast on offer, or alternatives if you prefered. The Loriston is so close to all the main things like, the pier and for a true shopper like me, the main shopping centre. All within walking distance. Loads of places to eat in the evening. It was our first time staying in Bournemouth.
I would recomend this guest house to anybody wanting a peaceful high quality stay in Bournemouth.

We had a weekend at the Loriston, we had a really nice time. Patrick and Gwen were really friendly and gave us suggestions where to eat. The guest house is lovely, the room was superb and we couldn't fault the hosts. 10 out of 10 all rounder.
Thank you Gwen & Patrick for a great weekend.

We would certainly stay here again.

My wife & I go pretty often to Eastbourne, then we allways stay at Loriston Guesthouse. And why there ? : I'll tell you right away. Because it' simply perfect. You allways get a warm welcome in Loriston. The rooms are spotlessly clean, spick-and-span really. The beds are the best and breakfast is superb.Only 50 yards from the shore and also only 50 yards from a magnificent pub nearby, the Marine, cosy atmosphere and great food served. Yes, we like Eastbourne.Sometimes we go there with other members of the family and they all love it! I have also recommend the Loriston to many friends allready and they all say it' s a great place to, stay. And what's more, Loriston is the perfect place to use as the "sally-port" to start your visits to the countryside or the coastline of East-Sussex. There is so much to do and see around. The coastline , Beachy Head, 7 sisters, is very impressing, the inland is also beatiful, with its old castles, hill figures, tiny lovely old villages. I have no words to describe. As you can see I can only recommend Loriston with all the warmth of my heart and if you go there you'll see that the landlady & landlord are very cordial people !
