From start to finish this was a very pleasant hotel. Friendly greeting at reception was the beginning of a faultless few days stay. Hand sanitiser station as you enter the hotel and throughout:by the top of the stairs and as you exit the lift. The room had a sea view which was a bonus for us. Fresh looking and all clean and tidy were first impressions of our room. Three course evening meal was served in a timely fashion and at breakfast the following day we were asked to make evening meal decisions; not a bad idea so the chef can cook for the appropriate numbers.
All the staff we came across were agreeable and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. In fact the chamber maid positively jogged down the corridor one day to speed up the cleaning process as we arrived back from breakfast, so we did not wait any longer than necessary to re-enter our room. Very reasonable prices at the bar too.
Will return one day to, hopefully, better weather!

My dad and his partner came back from the imperial on 9/10. They were very well looked after by the staff, were very impressed with the room, the food and the general ambience of the hotel. They would recommend this hotel to anyone and would like to thank the staff for their care.

I spent 3 days in this hotel and found it great! The bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast goo , but the magnificent lounge was a real pleasure! The bar was efficiently run and is separated from the main lounge , so there is loads of space. For sports lovers the wonderful Eagle Pub is only a 5 minute stroll away [or so]. They serve Real Ale and Food! Beware - it fills up rapidly on days of major sporting events.

Great friendly staff. The hotel was busy and there was a real buzz in the lobby area, they had bingo going on and music playing as well, it felt relaxing. Parking is £2 for 24hrs right ouside the hotel. Great location, on the beach and close to town, near restaurants and shops. Disappointed there was no wi-fi in the room. Breakfast only served till 9am which is abit early for us. No air con/fan in room.

We were booked into a Premier room,we were given a room on the fourth floor 401 ,this floor was originally the servant/staff quarters low ceilings very small, no bay windows , small shower room and dingy. When complaining was told all other rooms occupied, a lie as 2 days later coach party arrived and were given rooms on lower floors with bay widows and much larger room with bath.Staff disinterested and told us Hotel was being sold and closing 11 October. So once again take note and BEWARE

Room tip: dont bother
