Our short two night stay to visit friends and a relation nearby, was made all the more memorable by the outstanding service we received by Dee and her family in this wonderful B & B.
Camelot Lodge has recently undergone some new decoration that was tastefully done to a very high standard and in keeping with its charming character. Our back bedroom was a medium sized room with facilities that included a fridge, flat screen TV and a good selection of tea/coffee and biscuits. A chocolate on the pillows is another nice touch that is unusual in a B & B. The good quality pine furniture matched the two tone décor and a good sized comfortable firm bed. A surprisingly large bathroom with steel bath and recently tiled from floor to ceiling was spotlessly clean. The only downside to the bathroom, was that there was no heated towel rail or heating.
The dining area did not disappoint either with its delightful extended bright conservatory area facing out to a small secluded hedged garden. The well-stocked breakfast selection catered for all tastes and the full English breakfast was freshly cooked to perfection.
We did not use the large comfortable sitting room at the font of building, but noticed a small well stocked and reasonable priced bar in one corner.
Parking at Camelot Lodge can be a bit restrictive at peak times and care must be taken to negotiate the busy Lewis road when arriving or departing.
After returning tired on our second evening, we did not want to go out for a meal and Dee made us some lovely sandwiches that she brought to our room. Nothing was too much trouble for this friendly and hardworking lady.
We would highly recommend this establishment to friends/ family and would love to return again.

Room tip: Back rooms are quieter away from the main road.

I stayed at the Camelot lodge for my birthday weekend. I could not fault it. Room was lovely clean tidy and wonderfully decorated. The family who run this place are fantastic... Very friendly and made me feel at home :). Breakfast was tasty and lots of variety. I very much enjoyed my full English !

I would recommend to anyone visiting the area
I'll be back :)

This is a comfortable and efficiently run B & B. We had a large room (bigger than we expected after looking at photos on the hotel’s website), with an en-suite that had a bath. Breafast was well cooked and there was also a choice of fruit (both tinned and fresh). The hotel is on a busy road, but there was very little traffic at night, so it was very quiet. On site parking was good, which is a big plus in Eastbourne. The property is maintained to a high standard and, although it’s pushing it a bit to describe the Camelot Lodge as a hotel rather than a B & B, I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Stayed her for two nights in October and couldn't fault it. Clean, comfortable accomodation, friendly and attentive service and a nice full English breakfast to start each day. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Kevin & Dee!
