We had the great pleasure of dining at Michel Seylmager's Hus during the summer of 2017, and our experience at this historic restaurant was nothing short of fantastic. We were greeted by friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff who regaled us with fascinating stories of this building, which is hundreds of years old and was once used for boatbuilding and sailmaking during Pursgrunn's early seafaring days. This heritage building has been lovingly preserved, and is the perfect setting for the delicious, authentic meals prepared by a talented chef using local ingredients. A must for every visitor to Norway's gorgeous Telemark region.
