A great place in the heart of the nature, wild and with breathtaking views.
Easy to access from Arendal, it’s a perfect spot for a nature escape, relaxing walk, sunbath, swimming, photo shooting, fishing and so on.
Allocate couple of hours for this activity and you won’t regret. You can feel how your body fills up with positive energy!
You can find a cafe to refresh yourself and also camping place is nearby.

Hove and Spornes has it all... The beautiful forest to hike in with sunlight pouring in between the trees; the sandy beach for sunning, swimming and picnics on warm summer days; and the "rullesteinstrand" (rolling stones beach) for communing with nature, with the wide ocean horizon spread out in front of you and the sound of the waves crashing over the stones. Here you can find real relaxation any time of the year, a break from an otherwise busy life. Plenty of activities also for families with children. They'll love it as much as you will. If you're in the Arendal area you definitely don't want to miss the old Viking ground Hove and the beaches of Spornes.

Do you like to watch our nature? Townspeople from Arendal and surroundings take strolls in this beautiful area, close to the Skagerak sea. Good hiking paths, a camping site, a little cafe, and old gnarled trees. The area is protected, because these crooked trees are protecting the inland. The persistent wind gives the trees strange forms, ideal for climbing. Just stand and watch the Ocean, thinking of how good life is! And in summer you can swim at the nice beach Close to the cafe.

This area is very special. You have Nice beaches, viking graves, and amazing paths along the beaches and in the forest. This Island was the ending of the great glaciers from the ic- age.The outer beaches and land is filled with round Stones carried here by the glaciers.Behind it the camp area with the old farm house and the German camp from 2.World WAR. Close to Spornes is the old Stones Church from 1150. Beautiful inside- and special door figurs of gods Odin and Tor.

Part of Raet National Park inaugurated 2017.
A lovely place for enjoying sunbathing on the cliffs, a swim, a picnic or simply the scenery.
A popular area at any time of the year.

If you are in Arendal, visiting Hove is a must. It is one of the most beautiful seaside areas in Norway, and there are plenty of possibilities for those wanting a long (or short) walk. Always windy, so pack your anorack before you go.

Beautiful stretch of coastline with well maintained footpaths and holiday camps. A must see if ever in the area and a great place to walk the dogs, catch a bit of sunshine and will always hold fond memories.

Take your time to visit Spornes and Hove, a gem in the newly opened Raet national park. Take a strall along the seaside and listen to the waves hitting the shore and the sound of the rolling stones moved by the sea-waves. Take deep breath of clean salty air and feel much younger. Dont take to many of them, otherwise you will be like a child...)) Or take a walk on the many paths in the pinewood nicely kept so you can walk there with children trolleys. Highly recomended!

Hiking trails surrounded by crooked trees and exciting terrain with a lot of stone and sand beaches. Fishing opportunities, big grasslands, climbing park, good parking facilities, and lodging possibilities in Hove leirsenter. Playground, football, volleyball ...........

One of the most beautiful places in the area for a hike, be it summer, fall, winter or spring. Exellent place to just walk around and just listen to the ocean while recharging ones batteries.
