First of all: Norway (and Oslo) are anything but cheap destinations. Once you bear this in mind the Hotel offers good value for money. Rooms were clean and - extremely spacious! Not only in terms of room size, but also with extremely high ceilings, although being a recent conctruction. Cosy but stylish atmosphere also in the lobby. Only the bathrooms seemed a bit sober (neon light only, all white and provision of towels was scarce).
Breakfast was rich with a good selection of healthy stuff as well.
Staff was friendly and quick - apart from checking in and out I had barely contact since everything was allright and I did not need their assistance.
Although being close to the ring street it was calm and the city center is easy to reach within 15-20 minutes (the metro stop Nydalen is directly in front of the buliding). A small shopping center and a few restaurants are next to the building.
Personally I have a preference for downtown Hotels. Nevertheless, this place can absolutely be recommended if you're looking for good value for money (in terms of Norwegian prices) and do not necessarily look for a central location.More
