Sawan is my #1 place to go in Oslo for a fine dining experience for what i think is a very fair price.
This place is by no means inexpensive, but they do offer 100% value for your money.
Sawan offer a wide range of Asian Fusion corses and have a very large wine list to choose from. Even though the majority of the wine offered is pretty "pricy" they also do offer some really high quality brands at a fair price.

But for me it´s the ambience of the restaurant that really gives me the good vibe.
It´s located in a beautiful old Villa in the middle of Oslo, they do play some good music, but very subtle, and they have a really nice outside terrace to sit at in the summertime.

The service is impeccable and the Chefs are extraordinary even though they serve what is well known dishes for seasoned travelers and/or connaisseurs. They always give these dishes their own special touch to make them a little bit different.

I love how the staff attend to you without being to stressed out or "in your face", and they really go the extra mile to make you fell relaxed, valued and special.

My number one course is the Crispy Duck and the "Money Bags". They are just delicious and tasteful.

In my opinion the best thing you can do is go for the set menues which are very reasonable priced compared to what you get in both amount of food, but more important the many tastes.

Sawan is definitely worth the visit and the money.

An amazing Asian fusion restaurant in a gorgeous villa at the west side of Oslo city centre. We had an amazing 9-course meal with gorgeous wines, quite pricey, but felt that it was good value for money as the portions were generous and the wine plentiful. Attentive waiters, great atmosphere - highly recommended if you visit Oslo and would like to enjoy an Asian inspired meal.

In spite of showing up very delayed after 9pm (yes it is OSLO and not Barcelona) they welcomed us and gave us the opportunity to enjoy the food without being rushed. The food was outstanding and every bite was an exploration of the good kind for the taste buds.

This is a great Asian crossover restaurant serving smaller dishes. We chose the 9 course tasting menu and must say the food was great, would however have expected more seafood since in Norway. Service was attentive, but rushing both when presenting the dishes and changing to courses. Obviously we didn’t eat fast enough. Wine suggestions where nice but very expensive, as always in Oslo. Will definitely revisit next time in Oslo.

We booked a table for a late afternoon lunch and got a table on the upper terrace.
Sharing a sparkling wine was a good choice to the 6-dish-set-meal.
A splendid variety of dishes which was just right in terms of how full we felt when leaving the restaurant.
Attentive waiters, good weather and a light breeze made the late lunch a memorable meal.
