Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo
Ranked #29 of 103 Hotels in Oslo

This is a good choise for a central stay in Oslo. Next door neighbour is the Train station.
The rooms are looking good. Maybe a bit small, but comfortable.
If you get a room above 15th floor I think the view would excite most people.
Very tasty breakfast buffet with something for everyone.
The staff was always helpful and plesant when we needed something.

We stayed at the Radisson for one night in July and were blessed with the best weather the city has had in years. The hotel is right next to the station but we had come from the ferry port which is only a 10 minute walk too. We were greeted by very friendly staff who gave us a great room on the 21st floor with amazing views of the Oslo fjord. I explained we were catching the train to Stockholm the next day at 3.30 and they kindly arranged a late checkout of 2pm for us at no cost.
The room was clean and big with plenty of room, not the Hilton but good enough for the price. The pool on the roof is worth a visit too, it has amazing views. Breakfast was a bit of a scramble and very busy and the food was ok.
We really enjoyed our stay, I can't understand some of the bad reviews, the staff were friendly and made you feel welcome, the room was clean and modern and the hotel well looked after, what more do you want?

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor, and facing the fjord, the view is amazing.

We stayed here two nights and found the location extremely convenient next to the station with an express train to the airport. When we arrived we found we had been upgraded to a larger room on one of the highest floors with a spectacular view of the city at night. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the Scandinavian buffet breakfast was very good-fresh ingredients, an array of healthy choices, and well-prepared. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were polite and always helpful.

Since this was not our first choice in Oslo we were a little nervous. But our room on the 8th floor was large and comfortable. The check-in and reception was friendly and efficient. The bathroom was sparkling with all convenient amenities, so our mood was instantly transformed.

The breakfast is excellent. The restaurant on the 34th floor has a lovely view.

The best part is that it is situated just opposite the station, and wheeling our bags over the bridge early morning to catch our Norway in a Nutshell tour was a cakewalk. Since we are Senior Citizens this was very important to us.

The reception desk was always flooded with people, problems and questions, but in spite of that they attended to us with a smile and ready help.

I was really looking forward to my stay at the Radisson Blu in Oslo—at the end of a long trip, it looked as though it was going to be the highlight in terms of accommodation! Wrong. When I woke up after the first there, my bed was covered in bed bugs, including the pillow. I'm covered in bites, and when reported to the concierge, they seemed both uninterested and unbelieving. I completely understand that people do strange things for free upgrades, but photos can be supplied! This totally ruined the experience, and the lack of apology from staff made this all the worse. The upgrade was fine, but there were none of the extra services that were supposed to be provided included in this. For a hotel that costs this much, the experience was not only disappointing but pretty disgusting!

Room Tip: Go elsewhere!
