Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Nice, clean and modern hotel.
Breakfast was really excellent and plentyful whilst dinner was nothing special (but ncluded in our package). Our double room was very small and dark on the 3rd floor which was a little disappointing for the price we paid. Bathroom very small but modern and clean. Location of hotel is very central but area is a little shabby as close to main train station.

I recently stayed at this hotel on business in Oslo for 2 nights. I've never been to Oslo before and found this hotel to be in a great location, really close (within walking distance) to most major sights such as the National Gallery, Opera House etc which was good for me as I didn't have long there.
There's a 7 Eleven just meters away so you can buy food and drink and the main shopping street is a 3 minute walk away.

To get to the hotel you have to walk inside a public building through rotating doors (The entrance is located within this building) which was no bother at all, in fact there were a couple of nice looking bars and restaurants along with a grocery store right on the doorstep. I actually felt the location made the hotel feel very safe.

I loved the dark, artistically lit corridors and modern rooms. The room itself wasn't huge (Even though seeing other peoples room doors open during cleaning I realised my room was slightly bigger due to being at the end of the corridor) But it was just the right size for a short stay, it was super clean, laid out extremely well.

There was a work desk, large tv (with a decent selection of English channels - which almost Never happens in most hotels!!) and such an amazing bed!!! It was soft, comfortable and big! It was so nice I'm actually going to try and find a mattress topper similar to try and make my bed at home half as comfy as the bed here.

Great modern/clean bathroom with powerful shower and hot water, also a really good lit up mirror.

One of the best things about this hotel was the complimentary 'light meal' on an evening. I found the food was absolutely delicious, really warm and tasty served in a lovely lounge atmosphere on the 7th floor. The selection wasn't huge but each night there was a choice of soup with bread, some type of hot meal (Sweet & Sour chicken with rice one night and Fish the next) also salad and deserts. You buy your drinks but the food was free and probably saved me a small fortune during my stay as eating out in Oslo is ridiculously expensive.

The breakfast was a huge buffet style, with so much to choose from. The only issue I had was the hot food was actually quite cold when I had it which wasn't so good and so I didn't go back the next morning, however don't let this put you off as what I did eat was very nice.

The main reason this hotel is so nice in my opinion is due to the staff. Every single member of staff from the receptionists to the cleaners, to the waiters were utterly lovely. They seem genuinely happy to help and always had a smile which never felt fake or forced. They ordered me several taxis and were really really helpful and kind.

I'd recommend this place to anyone and if I ever return to Oslo I'll most certainly be staying here again! :)

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the end of the corridor. For example room 722 is slightly bigger than other standa...

Central hotel with friendly staff, fantastic breakfast buffet including a barista who prepares delicious coffee. Fine and comfortable rooms, liked that the room has a separate toilet and bathroom. Supper included and access to the comfortable chairs in its own lounge. Recommended

Good hotel, very convenient for bag dragging from the station but its best attribute has to be the food that is provided in the price. Extensive breakfast buffet, afternoon cake and a three course evening buffet which is good enough to save you spending any crazy money on food out in Oslo. Rooms are small and not that practical as very little storage space but adequate enough for a short stay. The Hotel is in a street which has been best described as a "bit shabby" but Oslo is a city of contrasts with obviously residents who can afford the steep prices while others have to resort to going through bins or sitting on the pavements holding out their paper cups for money. The Oslo pass is a good way to get around as it includes free transport and most museums but the City is quite small and you can simply walk to most parts. Try to buy your alcohol in duty free if you enjoy a glass of wine in your room otherwise you will have to pay around £8.50 a glass or over £30 a bottle. Food is as bad with a burger starting at around £20! But lovely City and well worth a visit if you can afford it or plan ahead by booking into this (or one of its sister) hotels.

Dear Guest,
Many thanks for your review. We are glad to hear that you appreciated the complimentary light evening meal. One of our goals is to provide our guests a meal that do not require the guest to eat alone or to have to go out from the hotel. By offering this under one roof the guests can have their options open. Also the complimentary breakfast and afternoon coffee/tea is offered as an extra service for the guests and is, as well as the evening meal, part of our concept in Clarion Collection.

We really hope that you will stay with also on your next visit to Oslo.

Best wishes,
Johanna Furenbäck

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel (with 2 very full suitcases as we had arrived directly from another holiday!) and we had the smallest room in the hotel. The decor is ultra modern but quite stunning - in the bedroom, restaurant, reception and 2 lounge areas. Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel, but found the lack of a single drawer or shelf to put clothes a bit disappointing. The shower can only be partially screened off, making it a little dangerous to walk on the wet floor. However, the restaurant provided a superb breakfast, beautifully presented, with very friendly staff. In addition, a definite plus for this hotel, is the availability of complimentary afternoon tea from 3-6 and even better, a very substantial meal from 6-9, again included in the price! Above this 7th floor area was a very comfortable lounge, leading on to a sun terrace. We understand the average stay in this hotel is 1.8 days, so presumably that is the reason for no space for clothes! This is more of a problem for those wanting to say for several days - BUT - overall, our impression was such that we would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: If you have booked the basic room, it is probably worth asking if there is any chance of an upgrade...

Dear traveler from Dalkeith,

We really appreciate you taking the time posting a review about your stay with us. Many thanks for all the positive notes about the staff and the product itself. As you mention, our business rooms do not have any drawers but a built-in closet for storage of clothes. Half of the rooms have also a built-in suitcase holder but this only fits one suitcase. We understand that this is not ideal for two full suitcases during a longer stay. What we would like to recommend for you is to ask for a larger room on your next stay with us. Even without a closet, our upgraded rooms offer more space for storage.

We hope to see you at the hotel again shortly. Until then, enjoy the summer!

Best regards,
Johanna Furenbäck
