“Great traditional austrian food in an always busy place”
Reviewed 11 July 2012 via mobile

Been here several times and always enjoyed. Last night four of us had dinner here and it was great dining experience for our overseas friends. The covered garden is pleasant even in rain. Make sure you book!
The waiters are very professional and its impresive to watch them how they carry those heavy trays as if it was a feather.
Overall, very nice eventhough slightly overpriced (150 eur for 4 incl 4 beers and two desserts).
P.s.- the steak i had was very nice too!

“Delicious Austrian specialties- beautiful veranda, reasonable prices”
Reviewed 9 July 2012 via mobile

We are here because it was one of few restaurants open on a Sunday - and figlmuller was fully booked. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The wiener schnitzel was great and the tapelspitz was excellent! Great service, and nice atmosphere with reasonable prices!

“A good Austrian Eating Experience”
Reviewed 7 July 2012

First time in Austria and my first taste of authentic Austrian Food.

First thing I would say if you're a vegetarian or don't like meat, then go somewhere else. Meat is the main thing on the menu. We had goose liver terrine to start with then my wife had beef in a broth and I had beef in a paprika stew. The food was excellent, but the portions are huge. Don't have a starter unless you're a big eater or extremely hungry.

The service was excellent, this place was extremely busy, but the team was well organised, they never rushed us and were well taken care of. Everyone spoke excellentEnglish, the menu was available in English and I was even supplied with a cover for my tie to prevent yet another stain.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. Two courses, with a bottle of wine, bread and a cocktail was just over 100 euros.

“food is fine, service is non-existent”
Reviewed 4 July 2012

food is over-hyped. the beef is not as tender as what was offered at some other places. very over-priced though. the worse thing is that with the expensive dining menu comes non-existent service. the waiter is so busy when we try to order we were given a "just a minute" wave - and he did not return for another 5 minutes. in our previous experience with boiled beef at another restaurant, the waiter was super-attentive and showed us the proper way to enjoy the dish. not here. the waiter threw (almost literally) a brochure our way, and then did not check in with us again for the next hour. no fault of the waiter, i think, but he was just too stressed out with so many tables. to the restaurant owner, if you want to charge such a high price for a common dish, make sure there is enough client to waiter ratio to have decent service. otherwise i would not recommend this place at all - why pay so much for okay food with terrible service?
