I am a fan of Ritz Carlton, and as a Platinum Marriott/Starwood member, I've been lucky enough to stay at many. In planning my trip to Vienna, my choices were between the Ritz and the two Luxury Collection hotels. I opted for the Ritz and wasn't disappointed. The location is wonderful, as it's a very easy walk to any of the locations in central Vienna. I found the staff to be helpful and pleasant and readily available in the lobby to help with anything.
Our room was large, comfortable and modern, with great bedding and bath amenities. We loved the views from our upper floor room, and especially loved the notes on the windows with information about the historical figures of Austria. The hotel sent us a lovely welcome note and birthday cake. We didn't eat at the hotel at all, as there are so many great places in the city to eat. We did use the gym and spa, which are both very nice. The gym is not super well-equipped if you need a big workout, but it's perfectly fine for basic exercise.
Would I stay here again? Maybe. While it's a lovely hotel, there was nothing exceptional about this property. I would try one of the Luxury Collection options before I would return to the Ritz. But I can highly recommend this hotel and can attest to the charm and comfort of the Ritz Carlton Vienna.More
