The hotel is located near the Praterstern metro/train station, which has U2 (violet) line service into the city center. The U1 (red) line is out of service below Schwedenplatz, making this hotel slightly less conveniently located than expected at the time of booking.
When I booked my trip to Budapest, Vienna and Prague, I endeavored to spend roughly the same amount per night on lodging in each city. And so I reserved at Austria Classic Hotel Wien. With an unexpected upgrade at check-in, we took a room with air conditioning. The beds were not very comfortable, and the comforters were very dense. But the AC cooled the room very quickly, the bathroom was large, closets and shelves for luggage were abundant, and breakfast was included. We ate breakfast at the hotel daily. The selection was sufficient, and included what I assumed to be store-bought versions of Austrian cakes, including Sacher Torte and poppy seed strudel.
Overall, we loved Vienna, but for our next visit, we will plan to spend more at a more luxurious and centrally-located hotel.
