location. staff. charming. breakfast. loved everything about the hotel.
being a snior woman traveling alone the location is the best. near public transportation, and even more important in the pedestrian zone where there was always somethin happening.
air condition is a must as the tempratures were 27-30. and it worked good and quite.
the staf was always helpful. at reception, breakfast (which was very good) and housekeeping.
and the hotel was beautiful.
will gladly lodge there next time i am in vienna.

Stayed for 3 nights. Wonderful Staff. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom roomy (especially for europe).
Perfect location, no noise. Great breakfast. Very expensive.

Room Tip: We asked for quiet room and got one with a window inside the court yard. Very quiet.

Wow just doesn't seem to do this place justice. Centrally located to everything, yet very quiet. Our room was palatial (really), easily 800 square feet, canopy bed, enormous bathroom with immersion tub. The lobby looks spectacular in the pictures - it's grander in person. Breakfasts (included) were sumptuous feasts, and there was so much outstanding food that lunch became superfluous.

The staff was ultra courteous and helpful. We needed to ship some of our purchased treasures back home (note to self...travel with an extra suitcase) They came up with empty boxes, packing material, and sealing tape on extremely short notice. The concierge got us reservations at the restaurant at the Sacher Hotel, even though their maitre-d told us they were booked. We could not have had a better experience.

At HALF the price of some of the dumpy hotels I've endured in Paris, this is a true gem. If you don't feel like the Emperor and Empress when you stay here, check your pulse.

Stayed in a double room in May 2012. Great location (steps away from Stephansdom). Clean. WC with shower within room. No street noise. Breakfast is included. Front desk VERY helpful--bought concert tickets, ordered taxis, restaurant advice, etc. I have no negatives to relay. If you can afford it, stay here.

Just got back from a 3 night stay in Vienna and our city stay surpassed all expectations. My last trip to Vienna was as an impoverished student arriving from Italy via interail. This time we stayed at the Kaiserin Elisabeth which was an infintely better experience! The desk staff were exceptionally helpful offering to book concerts, recommend restaurants and book trips. Although we had already arranged trips we found the staff very charming. On one rainy evening umbrellas were offered all round. Our room was spacious and grand helping us to relax after busy days spent sight seeing. The breakfast waitress brought us our preferred coffee/tea selection on our second morning without prompting or reminding which the 4 of us thought was impressive. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a very central and comfortable stay.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the road side. Our friends had an internal room with no windows which was definite...
