I visited Hotel Bristol on 18 October 2011 for one evening; my Virtuoso-affiliated travel agent, New Act Travel of Los Angeles, California, had confirmed a Classic Room which included breakfast. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to an Executive Room and received a bottle of champagne and fruit. The concierge was immensely helpful- contacting Austrian Airlines to change my seat assignment and then printed my boarding pass for me.
Most importantly, however, was the kindness that I received after discovering that I left a prized item in my room. Upon contacting the hotel, a representatives of the housekeeping offered to speak with her colleagues and contact me on my cellular telephone. Within thirty minutes, I was contacted and informed that the item had been located and the hotel would mail the item to me. Soon after, another telephone call to confirm that the mailing instructions were correct.
I only wish that the Hotel Bristol had the chef of the Hotel Imperial... which still has the finest weiner schnitzel in Veinna! The good news, both are Starwood properties.More
