My husband and I stayed at this property for a long weekend ski trip in the middle of February . The location is great for many reasons. You have many shops, restaurants, and a grocery store just steps from the hotel. If you don't have a car and plan to ski, the bus to the mountains is about a 5 min. walk. (Note - the bus to the mountains takes about 40 mins). And if you are into gambling, the casino is only a ten minute walk.
We booked a superior room which was bigger than the basic room. It had an entry area with large closet, the bathroom was big and had a large tub with jacuzzi, which was great to use after a day of skiing. The room itself was very large with a sitting area. The furnishings were classic. Our room faced the street and some reviewers complained of the noise, however this was not an issue as it is winter and restaurant tables are not outside.
Our room rate included breakfast which was very nice - a good broad selection of everyting. We ate dinner in the restaurant a couple of nights and the food was very good.
The hotel recommended renting skis at a location in town. I do not recommend this, as the price is at least double the cost of renting them on the mountain.
Lastly, the service was excellent. The front desk personnel were friendly, helpful, and seemed as if they really enjoyed their job.
I strongly recommend this hotel.
